Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson comes from a musical family. Growing up, she listened to a lot of classical music and traditional boleros. She also listened to traditional ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana has a passion for tangos, opera, and every form of dramatic performances. Her mother taught her to sing. However, she began more intensive vocal training through Flavio Belcerra at 16 when Belcerra was an internationally acclaimed Mexican opera Tenor. Music lessons continued throughout the School of Music of Guadalajara University. Then, she enrolled in an institution called the School of Sacred Music of Toluca. When she was a student, as well as a young professional at the time in Mexico City and Guadalajara she was a member of several chamber ensembles and choruses. When she moved into California in United States in 2000, she joined the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before shifting to her home in the southern part of California. She sings as a soloist Latin American music for private functions and as a member Ensemble XXI in Redlands. In addition to being a local performer and instructor the passion for arts and music keeps her engaged in a wide range of initiatives. Ana has also been an active member of the Community Chorus of Redlands as well as members of the Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana is thankful for having the chance to share her passion and love for old-fashioned Latin American songs with others, and in doing so hopes to impart a desire, especially among younger generations, to help keep the music alive and alive.Viva Mexico!
